In the Spring of 2007 a young man by the name of Gordon Riker was killed while riding his bike down Huntington Ave in Boston. A month later a young woman by the name of Kelly Wallace was also killed while riding her bike at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Harvard Ave in the same city. In a strange twist, the two had been friends.
From the shock of these two tragedies a non-profit organization called H.E.L.L. (Helping Everyone Live Longer) was established, whose main goal is to give away free bike helmets while raising awareness of bike safety.
This shirt was designed in collaboration with their group, in hopes of reminding others about keeping that fire lit inside and living your life while you can.
Dance Party Massacre will be giving 10% of the profits of this shirt to H.E.L.L.
For the personal story that lead to creating this collaboration, as well as more information, please refer to our blog post.
