I am very stoked to finally unveil the 2nd installment of our DPM Artist Series! This time I reached out to British artist Boneface. I noticed his work first through his popular series of fallen superheroes. The bright colors mashed up with violence (oozing pink blood!) I could not get over. Searching for more work, I found out the artist has a penchant for other masked vigilantes. He has illustrated numerous horror-ific, comic book punks often decked out in leather jackets, tattoos, and creepy masks. It's hard to tell if they're playing the hero or the villain, which just adds to cool strangeness.
For our Dance Party Massacre X Boneface collaboration he created 2 custom characters in this same vein. I like to think if Dance Party Massacre was a graphic novel they could be the stars; A rag tag group of ghoul guys looking to have some fun (and maybe causes some scares too!). What he created was yet another pair of awesomely weird characters I want to be friends with. One design is released as a t-shirt, and 1 as a premium silkscreened poster. You can also buy them together for a discounted deal as combo pack.
Boneface was recently featured in Juxtapoz Magazine, and was the featured artist for Society 6's group show last year. I really feel like this guy is going to blow up, and we're just on the brink of his popularity. Besides the unique themes and illustration style which make Boneface stand out, his attention to detail is also eye-catching; throwing in clever images and jokes for those who look closely. So head on over to our shop and take advantage of getting some quality work of his for fairly cheap while you still can.
We also have an amazing look book and promo video to go along with this release!
