As Dance Party Massacre enters it’s third year, we go back to the beginning a bit for inspiration. The basis for the line was inspired by demons, and other horrible things killing the life of the party. It was about doing what makes you happy, and realizing that could mean fighting for your life—literally! The juxtaposition of horror and fun is what it’s been about from the start.
Those ideas are still present, but this season is also be about evil being in us, instead of after us. It’s not evil in the same way, but if it means causing a little trouble to have some fun, that’s fine with us. It’s also about fighting back, and making fun of those things that haunt us. These ideas will pop up as the year rolls out.

They say third time’s a charm, and I see good things happening. I know I will be contacting more stores about carrying the line, planning some new ventures, expanding our products, and speaking with press/magazines/newspapers to get the brand out there.
Kicking off this season we put out our first hoodie, a sick sweatshirt design (which is not entirely horror—something that will continue), our first women’s specific shirt, and worked with the awesome Matt Skiff again as well bringing in a great artist by the name of Jessica Hess for the Trilogy design.
Keep on following DPM. I have no intentions of slowing down this year, and I appreciate all the little tweets, mentions on facebook, e-mails, and purchases. I started this for myself, but what will keep it going is all of you.
