New Crayon Rings by Timothy Liles

timothy_liles_crayon_rings01

You mighta peeped these a few days ago, but my friend Tim(othy) Liles creates these really cool and fun Crayon Rings. He started off with your basic crayon box colors, but most recently unveiled Swirl Crayon Rings. The colors really pop mixed together and add just another level of childhood imaginativeness. (That is a real word. I checked.)

You can currently buy the basic rings online at The Future Perfect and Oye Modern, while the swirl rings debuted at Worth Your Salt in Chicago on Friday.

Check out more photos after the cut.

Ke$ha—”TiK ToK”

This girl seems kind of obnoxious, and not really feeling how she spells stuff like a 10 year old girl, but I can see this song being played at a party and getting things pumpin. Cuz the chorus is bumpin.

See? I could write music.

PS-Pretty sure that is Simon Rex in the fake mustache, and him and Ke$ha have probably had sex.

Calvin Harris is Not Alone

Calvin Harris has gotten big in the UK. Check out one of his latest songs (let it play until the beat starts) off his album that dropped last month in the US. Will his dance-club beats be too Euro for America?

Other titles for this post could be:
Calvin Harris Gets All the Girls
Calvin Harris is Ready for the Weekend
Calvin Harris is Acceptable in the 80s

The guy always has hot babes around him.

Die Young & Save Yourself

Brand New is playing tonight (and tomorrow) at the House of Blues in Boston. I think both nights are sold out, but hey, there’s always people outside looking to sell if you come early enough.

This song was a fave a few years back. I always thought it would fit well in a vampire movie—This song, and almost anything off of Bloc Party’s “Silent Alarm”.

Teen angst and vampires are the mix to be.
