THE LABEL
Dance Party Massacre was formed around the idea that we should do what we want despite what others might think. It's about doing what makes you happy, and believing in yourself because that's how you'll survive. Inspired by horror films of the past and dance parties all around, it's imagery is a combination of horror, fun, color, and danger. The people who wear it realize that life can be cut too short to live with fear in our hearts. We know something is out to get us, but we won't be brought down. We'll dance until our feet bleed and laugh until our guts hurt, because they can't harm us if we don't let them!

THE SEASON
The first season of designs from Dance Party Massacre takes a lot of inspiration from a seminal piece of the horror genre: the slasher film. Halloween, Friday the 13th, Sleepaway Camp—it's always an ominous evil terrorizing the lives of happy teenagers. Many of the designs are influenced by classic imagery from the genre, with the focus being about something coming afer the kids who just want to have FUN.

So put on your dancing shoes and don't let them take you alive!

THE PEOPLE
A movement is only as strong as the people that back it, and this clothing line is only as strong as the people who believe in it. When Dance Party Massacre was launched it was meant to be more than graphic clothing, it was launched as an idea and a way of thinking. It's goal is not to reach the mass media, but to effect those who want to believe in themselves. You are the ones that keep our blood pumping!

Dance Party Massacre was launched in Boston, MA in the fall of 2007. Created by Alex Dakoulas it came to be after many nights of dancing in kitchens, walks in the dark, and horror movies with friends.
